Domaine Trimbach Riesling Clos Ste-Hune 2017

This 2017 Clos Ste-Hune is an exceptional white wine from Alsace produced by Domaine Trimbach, made from 100% of the Riesling grape variety planted on a plot of barely 1.7 hectares: a superb vineyard located on the Grand Cru Rosacker in Hunawihr which has belonged to the Trimbach family for two centuries, vines over fifty years old and facing south, south-east, on a subsoil predominantly shelled limestone (Muschelkalk).

It offers a unique character by its remarkable concentration on the nose, on aromas of ripe fruit and on the palate, we find these same aromas of great richness coated with a racy and elegant mineral texture, and a mineral finish of incredible length. The Clos Sainte Hune requires a little patience, generally 8 to 10 years to appreciate its character, and offers an exceptional ageing of at least forty years.
