Clos de Tart Grand Cru Monopole 1996
This 1996 Clos de Tart is one of the best Grands Crus of the Côte de Nuits, whose small vineyard extends over 7.53 hectares located on the terroir of Morey-Saint-Denis. It is a rare wine and sought after today by wine lovers all over the world.
It offers a complex aromatic palette of ripe red and black fruits, spices and liquorice with more evolved vegetal and animal notes. On the palate, the balance is perfect between concentration, structure and fineness of thetannins. In this good 1996 vintage for the wines of Burgundy, even more so for the wines of the Côte de Nuits, this great wine is undoubtedly one of the best successes.
For nearly a century, the Clos de Tart was the sole property of the Mommessin family. She sold it in 2017 to businessman François Pinault.
