This Pommard 1er Cru 2016 from Domaine Vincent Girardin comes from the estate's "Les Grands Epenots" plot, in the village of Pommard in the south of the Côte de Beaune.

This great red wine from Pommard offers a dark red colour and a fruity nose with intense aromas of blackcurrant. On the palate, the balance is perfect between astringency, acidity and a beautiful, full-bodied, ripe body with supple tannins. It will go very well with beautiful red meats, game birds, slightly spicy dishes in sauce and quite strong cheeses. It can be kept in the cellar until about 2035-2038.
