Domaine Armelle et Bernard Rion Clos-de-Vougeot Grand Cru 2011
Domaine Armelle and Bernard Rion offers us here a great red wine from Burgundy in the 2011 vintage, in the Clos-de-Vougeot appellation and classified as a Grand Cru. This wine comes from a small plot of 16 ares located in the heart of the Clos de Vougeot, south-east of the château, where the majority of the vines are over 80 years old.
Harmonious, racy, elegant, it offers a deep ruby colour and a superb nose of ripe red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant), discreet spices and some notes of evolution (undergrowth). It will be the perfect accompaniment to roasted red meats or red meats in sauce, duck, and cheeses.
Armelle and Bernard Rion and their children work 8 hectares of vines, mainly located on the Côte de Nuits, an area free of insecticides and herbicides thanks in particular to mechanical tillage, and certified High Environmental Value level 3 since 2019.
