Famille Perrin Cotes-du-Rhone Cairanne Peyre Whitehe Red 2015
This Côtes-du-Rhône Cairanne Peyre Blanche 2015 is a red wine with a predominance of Grenache (80%) complemented by Syrah (20%), made by the Perrin family. It is a full-bodied wine that offers superb aromas of crisp black fruit (blackcurrant), garrigue and licorice, enhanced by notes of sweet spices and flowers. The tannins are fine and elegant with a nice length in the mouth.
The Perrin family owns a 14-hectare vineyard in Cairanne to the south-west of the old village, on stony soils composed of clay and safre. The Cairanne vineyard is located between Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile-les-vignes. It was in 1929 that a few winegrowers took the lead from Baron Leroy in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and wanted to access an appellation of origin: the Cave Coopérative and the Syndicat Général des Vignerons des Côtes du Rhône were born. In 1953, the Côtes-du-Rhône Cairanne appellation was born, then in 1967 the Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages appellation.
Owners of the famous Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Perrin family cultivates 220 hectares of vines in the medieval Côtes-du-Rhône. Find all the wines of the Perrin Family currently on sale at La Bouteile Dorée.
