This Chambolle-Musigny 2024 from Domaine Anne Gros comes from a large 1.1 ha plot located at the first scree of La Combe d'Orveau, on the southern limit of the territories of Chambolle-Musigny and Vosne-Romanée. It was bequeathed by Louis Gros on his death in 1951 to his son François.

With a brilliant ruby colour, it offers notes of fruit (red currant, raspberry) and floral notes of old roses, with a very fine texture in the mouth and a fresh finish with notes of white pepper. It can be enjoyed quite young and stored until around 2035. It goes very well with poultry (pigeons, quails) and roasted red meats.

The origin of the word "Orveau" comes from "Val d'Or" or small golden valley. Facing east, this valley opens onto the dejection cone where the Echezeaux, Grands Echezeaux and Clos de Vougeot grands crus are located. The climate is more extreme due to its location, colder in winter and warmer in summer.
