This 2014 Givry red Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Ragot comes from a selection of plots with vines of 50 years of age on average. It is quite a powerful wine with marked notes of black fruit and lighter spicy notes. It offers a well-structured palate with a good tannic structure and notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and forest fruit.

It expresses all the richness of the terroir and requires a minimum of 2 years of ageing in bottles in order to fully appreciate its aromas. It offers a long ageing of 5 to 10 years.

Domaine Ragot is now led by Nicolas Ragot who is one of the very best winemakers of the Givry appellation.
