Château Cantemerle 2016 is a great red wine from Bordeaux and 5th Grand Cru Classé in the Haut-Médoc appellation, offered here in a large format: an imposing 15-litre bottle, a Nebuchadnezzar, to be offered as a gift or to share on a large and beautiful festive table.

It offers a complex aromatic palette, on black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), tobacco, cloves with subtle woody notes. On the palate, it is both powerful and elegant, with very supple tannins and a charming finish. You can start tasting it but ideally, you will wait until 2022-2023, and in the great 2016 vintage, the ageing potential is impressive.
