This Hermitage La Chapelle 2012 by Paul Jaboulet Aîné offers an intense, limpid and brilliant ruby colour. The nose is racy and very complex, revealing the Syrah with finesse. The palate is ample and generous, with a very nice substance of black fruits, sweet spices and light woody notes. Thetannins are silky and the finish is very long.

The name of the Hermitage La Chapelle is linked to the small chapel of Saint-Christophe overlooking the terraced vineyard overlooking the Rhône. It is produced on the best terroirs of the appellation: Le Meal, Les Bessards and Les Greffieux. Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné has been the sole owner of "La Chapelle" since 1919. The diversity of the terroirs and the places called "confié" gives the wine a special identity thanks to the blending of the different plots.
