Brio de Cantenac Brown 2017 is a red wine from the Médoc in Bordeaux, in the Margaux appellation, and the second wine of Château Cantenac Brown, 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855. It is made from 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, with vines that are 25 years old on average. The ageing is different from that of the great wine, with only 20% in new barrels.

It is a beautiful, gourmet and concentrated Margaux, with all the finesse of the great wines of the appellation. 2017 was an early vintage with a regular and rapid flowering and gave great wines to Margaux: beautiful richness in anthocyanins, fresh and colorful juices, fleshy and greedy Merlots, Cabernet with complex aromas. You can start enjoying it today or keep it in the cellar until about 2028-2030.

In the heart of the Margaux appellation vineyards, Château Cantenac Brown stands out from all the others by its unique architecture. At the beginning of the 19th century, when John-Lewis Brown acquired the estate, he chose to build a Tudor-style castle that would remind him of his Scottish origins.
