This 1980 Maury is a natural oxidative red wine that offers a beautiful tiled colour with mocha reflections and a clash of unlikely encounters: dark chocolate, fresh fig, walnuts and peppermint. The attack is powerful, the acidity invigorating. On the palate, the tenderness of age offers tender tannins and a long finish.

The Mas Amiel vineyard extends over 170 hectares of vines in Maury in the Pyrénées-Orientales and has been producing dry white, rosé and red wines and natural and oxidative sweet red wines since 1816. It was the banker Charles Dupuy who made most of the estate as we know it today, throughout the 20th century.
