Parducci Wines True Grit Petite Syrah Mendocino Calfornie USA Red 2013
This 2013 True Grit from Parducci Wines is made from 100% Petite Syrah grapes from Mendocino County, California and is made from a rigorous sorting of the grapes. This beautiful Californian wine reveals powerful aromas of black fruit (blackberry) with notes of white pepper, vanilla, dark chocolate and caramel.
It is a wine that perfectly expresses the character of the Petite Syrah grape variety, also called Durif, after the name of the French botanist who identified it at the end of the 19th century.
For the record, he accompanied the filming of Ethan and Joel Coen's 2010 film True Grit, a remake of a 1969 Western starring John Wayne, starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
