Terrazas de los Andes Altos del Plata Malbec Mendoza Argentina Red 2015
This 2015 Altos des Plata cuvée is made from 100% Malbec vines grown in the Mendoza region of Argentina, at the foot of the Andes, at an altitude of more than 1000 meters. It has a ruby colour with purple reflections. On the nose, aromas of black fruits dominate (plum, blackberry) supported by toasted and spicy notes (white pepper). Beautiful freshness on the palate with slight toasted notes due to the ageing in barrels.
The Terrazas de los Andes estate was created more than 50 years ago from an old vineyard born at the end of the 19th century. It produces exceptional wines including Cheval des Andes in association with Château Cheval Blanc, 1st Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion and has set up an environmentally friendly agriculture with the environmental certification ISO14001.
