Domaine JP Charpentier L'Integrale Minervois La Liviniere Red 2017 Magnum
The Intégrale 2017 from Domaine JP Charpentier is a red wine from Languedoc, in the Minervois La Livinière appellation, between Toulouse and Montpellier, made from 100% Syrah grapes. It is offered here in Magnum.
It offers a complex nose of red and black berries and spices, with notes of roasting. The attack on the palate is powerful with empyreumatic and garrigue notes, then the substance expresses itself with great finesse and beautiful elegance. A wine for laying down to be enjoyed today but which can still be waited until 2030-2032.
This combination of body and finesse is the hallmark of La Livinière, the first recognized growth of the Languedoc in 1999. Known as Lavineira, which means "place planted with vines" since the 11th century, it is a magnificent terroir, with soils mixed with schist, sandstone, quartz, limestone, pebbles, sand and clay, born from the alluvium left by the Atlantic Ocean 50 million years ago and shaped by erosion. The vines are located on hillsides up to 400 metres above sea level.
