This 2017 Monterey Chardonnay produced by Hahn Winery offers rich aromas of tropical fruit, lemongrass and lemon, with light vanilla and toasted notes. On the palate, a beautiful acidity perfectly balances the aromas on a long finish.
This wine comes from the vineyard of St. Nicholas (Arroyo Seco) facing east on rocky soils covering very well-drained clay loams, demanding for the vines and which give the fruit intensity and character. The maturation here extends later until October to give very well-balanced Chardonnays.
This wine is the perfect accompaniment to Bay scallop chowder, chicken curry salad or grilled marinated prawns.
