Cantine Chiorri Antonio Chiorri DOC Ombrie Colli Perugini Italy Red 2018 - Box of 6
This red wine from the Cantine Chiorri estate is an Italian wine from the Umbria region, made mainly from the Sangiovese grape variety, complemented by Sagrantino.
Sangiovese, also known as Brunello, is the most important grape variety in Italy with 100,000 hectares of vines and it is emblematic of Chianti wines that must contain at least 80% of it in their blend. It is also present in great Italian wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile or Morellino di Scansano.
It offers an intense ruby colour and an aromatic nose of ripe red fruits with spicy and mineral notes. On the palate, it is a full-bodied and perfectly balanced wine, with fine tannins, and a persistent finish. It will be an ideal accompaniment to red, grilled and braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
