Château L'Evangile Pomerol 2002

Chateau L'Evangile Pomerol 2002

136.80 € Tax included

Château L'Evangile is a great Pomerol wine offered here in the 2002 vintage, It offers a deep red colour with purple reflections. The nose is fine, dominated by blackcurrant and raspberry and notes of spices, coffee and cocoa. The attack on the palate is frank and fresh with a lot of fruit. The tannic structure is imposing and creamy and the finish on the palate is long and full-bodied. The 2002 vintage is now ripe but you can keep this wine in the cellar for at least another 10 years.

After a difficult start to the year, very good weather conditions set in with rather cool months of July and August but a magnificent month of September which allowed the ripening of the grapes and the harvest to be accelerated under the sun.

Born with the Pomerol vineyard in the mid-18th century, Château L'Evangile is located in the heart of the appellation, bordered to the north by Pétrus and to the west by La Conseillante.
