Château L'Evangile is a great Pomerol wine offered here in the 2012 vintage, a complex and contrasting vintage. After a cold and wet start to the year, flowering was delicate, due to relatively low volumes. While the months of June and July experienced variable conditions, sunny and rainy periods, August and September were superb, allowing the grapes to obtain a very good maturity with a good ageing potential.

It offers a beautiful deep black color with purplish reflections. The nose is expressed on black fruits, sour cherries and blackcurrants, with fresh notes of mocha and toast. On the palate, the attack is fine and silky with a powerful and balanced tannic structure, followed by a dense and velvety substance, with perfectly coated tannins, fruity and persistent on the finish. You can enjoy it today and you can keep it in the cellar until 2038-2040.

Born with the Pomerol vineyard in the mid-18th century, Château L'Evangile is located in the heart of the appellation, bordered to the north by Pétrus and to the west by La Conseillante.
