Scamandre 2016 is a great red wine from the Rhone valley in the Costières de Nîmes appellation, made by Domaine Scamandre in organic farming and made from the Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre grape varieties. This single-vineyard cuvée is aged for 24 months in barrels.
It offers an intense nose with aromas of spices, liquorice and cocoa. On the palate, the substance is dense with supple tannins and the persistence is remarkable. This wine will be the perfect accompaniment to veal tartare, beef tataki or black truffle brie. It can be enjoyed today but offers great ageing potential until 2035.
