Here is a beautiful Saint-Chinian 2020 from Thierry Navarre, emblematic winemaker of the appellation, on a schist terroir in Berlou in the Hérault. This Saint-Chinian Laouzil offers a magnificent bouquet of black fruits and notes of liquorice, spices and dried fruits on the nose. A balanced wine with a full-bodied, very fresh palate and a beautiful finish.
Thierry Navarre is a passionate winemaker of Roquebrun and a strong advocate for the diversity and conservation of grape varieties. He advocates a vine cultivation with a deep respect for the land (compost, natural preparations, infusion of plants, nettle manure, ploughing and hoeing of the soil) and a natural vinification without chemicals. The grapes are harvested by hand.
