Alleno & Chapoutier Saint-Joseph Croix de Chabot Red 2012
This 2012 Saint-Joseph Croix de Chabot from Domaine Michel Chapoutier is a red wine made from 100% Syrah, the fruit ofthe collaboration of two passionate creators, masters in the demand for refinement: Yannick Alléno, Michelin-starred chef, and Michel Chapoutier, winemaker.
It has a black and purple colour and aromas of black fruit and spices (liquorice) on the nose, with more mineral and delicately smoky notes. On the palate, the substance is full, finely structured by coated tannins, very well balanced with a nice freshness and a persistent finish.
It is a perfectly ripe wine that will go perfectly with braised and grilled red meats, or a duck pie and that can be kept in the cellar until about 2025.
