Château Gloria 2013 is a great wine from Saint-Julien, offered here in a 3-litre Double-Magnum and in a Bordeaux vintage to be enjoyed now. It offers fruity aromas with fine notes of mocha and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is supple and elegant, with a rather fine substance.

Find out more about the 2013 vintage

After the two complicated vintages of 2011 and 2012 in Bordeaux, 2013 did not give Bordeaux winegrowers much respite. The rainy spring delayed flowering, the stormy heat of the summer and the hot and humid weather of September during the harvest slowed down the ripening, with the Merlot in the lead, and damaged the fruit. These difficult conditions forced the châteaux to drastically reduce the harvest in order to reach grapes of sufficient maturity and at the same time to harvest quite early. The red wines are rather light and for the most part, to be drunk in their youth, until 2028-2030 for this Saint-Julien.
