Les Poyeux 2007 is one of the mythical cuvées of Clos Rougeard, a great red wine from the Loire Valley in the Saumur-Champigny appellation, made from 100% Cabernet Franc grape variety. The Poyeux plot extends over barely 3 hectares of rather sandy soils and gives very fine wines of a beautiful freshness.
After almost fifteen years of storage, the nose has evolved into aromas of blackberries and vegetal notes. On the palate, the substance is airy, very straightforward, with great finesse and the long finish remains very fresh. A wine that can be kept in the cellar until 2028-2030.
