Château d'Yquem is a great sweet white wine from Sauternes classified Premier Cru Supérieur and is offered here in the 2014 vintage and in a 9 litre Salmanazar, packaged in a wooden case, a very large and superb bottle to offer or to taste after a few years of patience.

The 2014 vintage was marked by an early harvest in Yquem that started on 5 September with a 9-week spread over the end of October: 25% of the grapes were harvested very early before 15 September. This earliness provides a precious acidity for the balance and long shelf life of the wines.

The great sweet wines of Château d'Yquem offer exceptional ageing, generally 40 years or more depending on the vintage. They can be enjoyed quite young, but their incredible complexity is only revealed after at least ten years.
