Chateau Suduiraut 1er Grand Cru Classe Sauternes White Dessert Wine 1978
Château Suduiraut is a great sweet white wine from Bordeaux, 1er Grand Cru Classé de Sauternes, and offered here in the 1978 vintage.
A fine vintage for the red wines of Bordeaux, the year 1978 was a little less favourable for the sweet white wines of Sauternes and Barsac because the hot and dry autumn which lasted until October caused a slowdown in the formation of botrytis. Nevertheless, the best Sauternes wines, such as this Château Suduiraut 1er Grand Cru Classé 1978, have been able to produce quality wines and therefore remain a good choice of gifts.
