This Director's Cut 2019 cuvée from Francis Ford Coppola Winery is a blend with more than 80% Zinfandel, a voluptuous wine with a beautiful concentration of aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and raspberry complemented by notes of wild berries and spices then evolving into cocoa and mocha. The Petite Sirah grape variety is present at nearly 15% in this blend to give the wine structure and complexity. It is made entirely from grapes from the Dry Creek Valley, a terroir renowned for the production of beautiful Zinfandels.
In addition to Rubicon Winery, the famous property located in the Napa Valley that he acquired in the mid-1970s, Francis Ford Coppola created a second estate in 2006 in the town of Geyserville, in the Sonoma region, both a wine tourism and winery place concentrating his trading activities.
