This Cisplatina cuvée from Domaine Pisano is made from 100% of the Torrontés grape variety introduced to South America by Argentina where Spanish immigrants planted it. Cisplatino refers to a region of the Río de la Plata, located between the 30th and 35th parallels, close to the Atlantic Ocean, and at the same latitude as the best wine regions in the Southern Hemisphere.
This Torrontés 2022 offers a beautiful pale yellow colour with green reflections. The nose is marked by aromas of blackcurrant, grapefruit and passion fruit, with notes of rose, clove and honey. On the palate, it is a well-balanced wine, with both a beautiful volume and great freshness.
It can be served very well with grilled or raw fish and seafood, blue-veined cheeses (Roquefort and blue cheeses), or desserts such as apple pie.
The Pisano family has selected vines from several types of Argentine Torrontés (Mendocino, Sanjuanino and Riojano from the Chilecito region in the province of Rioja) that offer the best aromatic potential.
