The Domaine des Baumard was founded in 1634 in Rochefort-sur-Loire, where it is still located today at the Logis de la Giraudière, a manor house from the end of the 18th century.
After the phylloxera crisis, the Domaine des Baumard was transformed into a vast nursery of grafted vine plants, an activity that continued until 1955. It was then Jean Baumard who took charge of the estate and gave it its current configuration with the acquisition of vineyards in the Quarts-de-Chaume and Savennières.
Today, it is his son Florent Baumard who exploits the 40 hectares of the Domaine to produce very beautiful red and white wines, dry and sweet, of pure Loire expression: Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon, Quarts-de-Chaume, Crémant and rosé.
