Complexity, finesse, elegance and beautiful amplitude for this 20-year-old Maury from Mas Amiel, the result of a blend of several vintages that have benefited from a minimum of 20 years of ageing. Like a miracle of nature, this wine with its magnificent amber colour develops aromas of gently acidic dried figs that mingle with the evocation of sweet spices, then it is on more surprising notes of fresh liquorice that it grows. An astonishing finish with great persistence.

Owned by Olivier Decelle, Mas Amiel occupies 170 hectares of vines in Maury and produces wines in the Maury, Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes Catalanes appellations. The range of wines is wide, dry wines in all three colours and natural sweet red wines that have made Mas Amiel internationally famous, a vineyard born in 1816 and whose bicentenary is being celebrated. Since 2011, dry Maury wines have been entitled to the newly created Protected Designation of Origin.

Ageing
One year in open-air glass cylinders and then until today in 350 hl oak barrels. This particularly long ageing, a true signature of Mas Amiel, allows the wine to acquire a great maturity of aromas and structure.

This 30-year-old Mas Amiel is a bewitching wine, the result of a blend of several vintages that have benefited from a minimum of 20 years of ageing. On tasting, its colour lightens and it reminds us of tobacco leaves, pralines, coffee liqueur and roasted almonds. Everything then changes on an old orange liqueur to take us on a journey to the Orient in the world of spices. A lively wine with dazzling freshness. An exuberant finish with a gentle structuring bitterness.

Le Mas Amiel is a Roussillon wine estate of 170 hectares of vines, located in Maury in the Pyrénées-Orientales and which produces dry white, rosé and red wines and natural and oxidative sweet red wines. More than 200 years old, Mas Amiel is now the property of Olivier Decelle who, in 2011, together with other Maury winegrowers, allowed the creation of the Maury Sec Appellation.

Magnificent mahogany colour for this 40-year-old Maury from Mas Amiel, the result of a blend of several vintages that have benefited from a minimum of 20 years of ageing. Here we enter the typical world of rancio. Everything blends together. It's a strange aromatic journey, between hot metal, encaustic, spices. Walnuts, figs and dates are mixed with brown tobacco. The finish is very long with notes of bitter oranges. A very large 40-year-old Maury with a rustic freshness.

Olivier Decelle took over Mas Amiel in 1990 and has since striven with great energy to develop the quality of this magnificent two-hundred-year-old vineyard, kingdom of the Grenache noir and Maccabeu grape varieties. 170 hectares of vines in Maury which give, on the one hand, very beautiful Roussillon wines in Côtes du Roussillon and Côtes Catalanes in white, rosé and red, on the other hand dry wines of Maury, the Maury Sec appellation was born in 2011, and the very renowned natural sweet red wines of Maury.
