Viu Manent is a 150-hectare Chilean estate planted with pre-phylloxera vines, owned by the Viu family for more than 50 years.
Miguel Viu-García and his two sons Agustín and Miguel immigrated in 1935 from Catalonia and created Bodegas Viu in Santiago de Chile to bottle and sell wine in the local market under the brand "Vinos Viu". In 1966, they acquired the Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco in Colchagu, 80 km southeast of Santiago de Chile. The estate includes 3 vineyards: San Carlos, La Capilla, and El Olivar.
Sustainable development guides all actions of the Viu Manent estate: ecological, socially equitable and economically viable. In 2006, the prestigious North American magazine Wine Enthusiast named the Colchagua Valley as the best region in the world for the development of the quality of its wines.
