Olivier Lemasson Grolleau Gamay Pineau d'Aunis R14 Red 2014
Cuvée R14 is made from organically grown, sulphur-free grapes, very old vines of Grolleau, Pineau d'Aunis, one of the oldest grape varieties in the Loire vineyards, and Gamay. It is a wine that offers a beautiful freshness and a very expressive fruit with slightly spicy notes.
Olivier Lemasson is a sommelier by training. In 2002 he met Hervé Villemade who owns a 12-hectare estate in Cheverny, and they joined forces to set up a business: Les Vins Contés. In 2006 they separated their activities, Hervé concentrated on his estate, and Olivier continued the Vins Contés and bought two hectares in the Touraine appellation.
Les Vins contés buys standing grapes from certified organic winegrowers. Not to mention the two hectares of Touraine taken over by Olivier (organic). The Vins contés troupe harvests by hand from the Loire to the Cher. The vines are scattered within a radius of 40 kms, which offers a variety of grape varieties and completely different terroirs.
