The 2019 Tor Tori is an Armenian red wine from the Van Ardi estate made from 90% of the emblematic grape variety of Armenian red wines, Areni noir, complemented by 10% Syrah, on a small vineyard of 10 hectares located in Ashtarak, in the ancient wine region of Aragatsotn.

It offers an intense ruby colour and aromas of black berries, plum, blackcurrant and black pepper on the nose, with very discreet woody notes that enhance the fruity character of the wine. On the palate it is greedy and well-balanced, with medium-intensity tannins and a long finish.

The vineyard benefits from volcanic soils and rich in natural rocks and minerals and is located on steep hills facing south and southeast, at an altitude of more than 1000 meters. The climate offers long hours of sunshine during the day and cooler temperatures at night.

Forgotten for more than a century, the wines of Armenia are reborn in this cradle of viticulture where remains dating back almost 8000 years have been unearthed.
