Domaine Arlaud Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2015

Domaine Arlaud brings here a superb red wine from Burgundy in the Bonnes-Mares appellation and classified as a Grand Cru. The origin of the name "Bonnes-Mares" is not established with certainty: it may come from the old Burgundian term "marre" which means pickaxe to designate a land that is easy to work, or it may be linked to the discovery of a Gallic bas-relief of the mother goddess whose Latinized name is Matir, or possibly the Ladies of Tart, the nuns of the Clos de Tart.

This exceptional Burgundy wine offers on the nose aromas of blackberries with touches of sandalwood. On the palate, it offers a very straightforward, slightly austere structure, with tannins that are well present. The wine surprises with its fullness and an incredibly fine texture. It can be kept in the cellar until about 2040.
