Les Arums de Chateau Lagrange Bordeaux White 2019
Château Lagrange, a superb Grand Cru Classé of the Médoc in the Saint-Julien appellation for its red wines, has been producing a white wine, the cuvée "Les Arums" for several decades on two distinct terroirs of gravelly sands and limestone clays with a total area of 11 hectares.
It is made from 737% Sauvignon Blanc and 23% Sémillon. In this rather warm 2019 vintage, the Château did not include Sauvignon Gris in the blend in order to maintain the necessary freshness.
The 2019 Arums offers an explosive nose with aromas of citrus, lemon and pineapple, a lively attack on the palate followed by a very elegant and ample substance, and a very long harmonious fruity finish. It will be the perfect accompaniment to seafood, white meats or cheese.
