Château Cos d'Estournel 2008 is a great wine from Saint-Estèphe, 2nd Grand Cru Classé.

The cool and ventilated conditions of the summer of 2008 brought freshness and liveliness to this vintage, while the second half of September, which was particularly dry, gave concentration and aromatic complexity. Dark colour, notes of black fruits, liquorice and tobacco on the nose. It is a complex wine that is both powerful and delicate, elegant and velvety on the palate.

2008 is the first vintage vinified in the new cellar of Château Cos d'Estournel. Born in 1762 under Louis XV and died in 1853 under Napoleon III, at the then remarkable age of 91, Louis Joseph Gaspard Lacoste de Maniban Marquis d'Estournel had only one passion: Cos.
