This 2014 Cornas Reynard from Thierry Allemand comes from plots with more calcareous soils and old vines over 40 years old.
It is a very beautiful wine with a peppery and fruity nose (black cherry) with light notes of violet and leather. The palate is dense, full-bodied, with a beautiful substance on tight tannins, and a long and mineral finish (graphite).
This is a great Cornas wine to taste today but the pleasure will be greater with a few more years of cellaring.
