Paul Jaboulet Aine Cornas Domaine de Saint-Pierre 1996

92.00 € Tax included

This 1996 Cornas Domaine Saint-Pierre is a great red wine from the northern Rhône Valley by Paul Jaboulet Aîné, made from 100% Syrah and produced with very low yields of 20 to 25 hl/ha.

It is a racy, powerful and elegant red wine that offers beautiful aromas of ripe fruit with spicy and liquorice notes on the finish. It will be the perfect accompaniment to a hare à la royale or a roast squab with thyme for example. ,

A wine that can be kept for a long time, it can be tasted today or kept in the cellar for a few more years, until 2026-2028.

Domaine Saint-Pierre is a 3.9-hectare vineyard located on the top of the plateau near the small chapel of Saint-Pierre. The Syrah vines, the oldest of which are more than 60 years old, are rooted in granite rock covered with limestone and silt.
