This Corton Grand Cru red Les Maréchaudes, 2017 from Domaine Chandon de Briailles, comes from a terroir in the middle of the hill, under the "Bressandes" and next to the "Vergennes", on shallow limestone soils facing east, at early maturity.
In the abundant 2017 vintage, which follows several years of poor harvests, Domaine Chandon de Briailles undertook a very rigorous selection of grapes and offers here a superb Corton. With great finesse, its aromas of ripe red fruits, its freshness and its silky texture make it a very elegant wine that can be enjoyed in 4 to 5 years, although it is of course preferable to wait about ten years to appreciate all its magnificent character. It can be kept in the cellar until 2035-2040.
All Domaine Chandon de Briailles wines are organic and biodynamic wines certified by ECOCERT and DEMETER.
Find all the wines of Domaine Chandon de Briailles currently on sale at La Bouteille Dorée. Owned by the same family since 1834, Domaine Chandon de Briailles now belongs to the Count and Countess Aymard-Claude de Nicolay. Great wines for ageing, lots of freshness and a fully biodynamic culture; This is what best characterises this great vineyard.
