This Echezeaux Grand Cru 2019 from the Domaine Jacques Prieur is a great red wine from Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits from a plot of 0.36 hectares in the "Champs Traversins", in the heart of the historic Echezeaux, at the exit of the Combe d'Orveau. The brown soils are not very thick with pebbles on the surface, very fine, sandy and siliceous and the terroir benefits from a very airy and cool micro-climate.

The very changeable climatic conditions of 2019 required very rigorous controls and the harvest, although reduced, finally offered grapes of an excellent state of health, with a perfect balance between sugar and acidity and excellent ripeness.

The wine offers a deep and dark red-black colour and a very fresh nose, with notes of black berries, blackcurrant and blueberry, followed by fine floral notes. On the palate, it offers a fruity expression with spicy and peppery notes, a taut body, fine and fresh tannins and a sapid finish on the finish. It is the ideal accompaniment to game or lamb meat.
