Domaine Faiveley has half of this "Les Cazetiers" climate which takes its name from "Castel", the plot above the Château de Gevrey and one of the few "Têtes de Cuvée" not reclassified as a Grand Cru in the 1930s. The 1999 vintage was very successful for the red wines of Burgundy, with high volumes, but with excellent climatic conditions during the summer which allowed the grapes to reach perfect maturity while maintaining a high acidity.
