Laurent Ponsot offers us here a great red wine from Burgundy in the Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru appellation, in the 2018 vintage, one of the greatest wines of the Côte de Nuits. In 640, this vine was the property of the Burgundian abbey of Bèze, whose sisters commissioned Monsieur Bertin to cultivate it. He gave his name to the Champ Bertin.

This Chambertin Clos de Bèze offers a dark ruby colour and a concentrated nose, aromas of black fruits, floral, rose and violet, and liquorice. On the palate, the substance is full, opulent and very elegant, with a spicy character and a very persistent aromatic finish. It will be the perfect accompaniment to a prime rib and can be kept in the cellar until about 2050.
