Domaine Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos des Issarts Monopole 2009

90.00 € Tax included

This 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos des Issarts Monopole from Domaine Faiveley offers beautiful aromas of ripe fruit on the nose complemented by subtle notes of wood and toasted toast. On the palate it is elegant and round with quite voluminous and silky tannins. An elegant, well-balanced wine with a beautiful aromatic persistence.

In the 8th century, Charlemagne owned vineyards on the Côte. He asked to "scour" the places favorable to cultivation in the woods. It could be deduced that this plot was one of the first to be reclaimed from the forest. It was bought by Domaine Faiveley in 2002 after a lease of about fifty years.
