Paul Jaboulet Aine Hermitage La Petite Chapelle Red 2009

La Petite Chapelle is nothing less than the second wine of the mythical Hermitage La Chapelle. It is presented here in the 2009 vintage, a great quality and greedy vintage, of exceptional concentration, with an already very harmonious balance.

At the tasting, La Petite Chapelle 2009 has a deep black cherry colour, with clarity and a beautiful shine. The nose is intense and aromatic, with sweet spices, floral notes of peonies and very ripe fruit. On the palate, the attack is powerful and harmonious, with noble tannins and a very long finish.

The different plots of the properties, located on the Hermitage hill, are vinified separately until the final blend which takes place one year after the harvest. It is then that the two cuvées are made: La Chapelle and La Petite Chapelle.
