Château L'Evangile is a great Pomerol wine offered here in the 2008 vintage, a vintage that will reach maturity in a few years. It has a dense black colour with purple reflections. The nose is intense and dominated by aromas of mocha, stone fruits, violets and spices. The palate is very ample with a powerful but harmonious texture and the finish is smooth with very mellow tannins. You can enjoy it today, but it's best to keep it in the cellar for a little longer if you can.

The year 2008 in Pomerol saw a late flowering and yields were very low (27 hl/ha). The summer was hot and dry in July, cool in August, and then ideal conditions set in in September and October, which allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly.

Born with the Pomerol vineyard in the mid-18th century, Château L'Evangile is located in the heart of the appellation, bordered to the north by Pétrus and to the west by La Conseillante.
