Chateau Ausone Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe A - Original wooden case 1 bottle
Superlatives are lacking to describe this wine that has been acclaimed for more than 250 years and perhaps even more since Alain Vauthier took the helm in the late 90s.
Château Ausone is a mythical wine from Bordeaux, on the right bank, seven hectares in the Saint-Emilion appellation and premier grand cru classé A. It is particularly renowned for its purity and elegance, the silkiness of its tannins and the persistence on the palate.

A legend of Saint-Emilion, Château Ausone is one of only four estates to have been classified as a premier grand cru classé A in the latest classification of Saint-Emilion wines in 2012. It is named after Ausone or Decimus Magnus Ausonius, a poet, professor and political advisor of the Late Roman Empire in the 4th century BC.
