Château Valandraud is a Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint-Emilion appellation and it is offered here in the excellent 2005 vintage, which is reaching maturity but can be kept in the cellar for another twenty years.

Château Valandraud 2005 offers a beautiful dark and purple colour and a powerful, fruity and fragrant nose. On the palate, the attack is fine, followed by great power with beautiful tannins, and a greedy and persistent finish.

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and his wife Murielle Andraud acquired a small plot of 0.6 hectares in the Saint-Emilion valley. In 1991, they made their first vintage, bottled by them. Since then, they have acquired other plots and properties. While the first critics called it a "garage wine", Château Valandraud has since acquired its letters of nobility.

You can also find all the wines of the magnificent 2005 vintage currently on sale at La Bouteille Dorée.
