Fiefs de Lagrange 2eme vin de Chateau Lagrange Saint-Julien Red 1986
Fiefs de Lagrange is the second wine of Château Lagrange, 3rd Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien.
The summer of 1986, extremely dry in the north of the Médoc, with only a few rare rains, allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly and offered a 1986 vintage of good concentration.
Fiefs de Lagrange is made from vines that are on average 30 years old and are planted on soils of fine gravel for Cabernet Sauvignon and clay for some Merlots. It is treated with the same care as the great wine of Château Lagrange with a search for maturity and concentration in the vineyard, a plot-by-plot vinification and an ageing adapted to its tannic structure.
