Domaine des Baumard Savennieres Clos du Papillon White 2007
The Clos du Papillon is a great Savennières wine from the Domaine des Baumard and this 2007 vintage, a good year for dry white wines from the Loire, is at perfect maturity after 10 years in the cellar. A superb wine Mineral and lively with floral (acacia, lime, jasmine) and fruit (apple, quince) aromas and subtle smoky, bitter (chicory) and spicy (white pepper) notes.
Florent Baumard runs the Domaine des Baumard, a family estate created in 1634 and which produces great dry, sweet and sweet red and white wines from the Loire in the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts-de-Chaume appellations.
You can also find all the wines and champagnes of the 2007 vintage currently on sale at La Bouteille Dorée.
