Marie-Therese Chappaz Petite Arvine, Sylvaner, Marsanne Valais Switzerland White 2021
This Grain Cinq 2021 cuvée is a great white wine from Valais in Switzerland produced by Domaine Marie-Thérèse Chappaz located in Fully, made from a blend of three grape varieties, Ermitage (Marsanne), Petite Arvine and Sylvaner, from different vineyards of the estate. The grape varieties that go into the blend change every year, depending on the conditions of the vintage.
This superb white wine offers a first nose of lemon zest and honeysuckle, with slightly toasted notes. On the palate, the perfect balance of the blend offers a very harmonious wine, between the freshness of the Petite Arvine, the fullness of the Sylvaner and the beautiful bitters of the Marsanne. It can be kept in the cellar until about 2030. It will go very well with noble fish, a seafood gratin or poultry with cream.
