Michel Couvreur Whisky Aleksé Single Cask 2003 50cl - Wooden Box
This 2003 Single Cask whisky was distilled in Scotland on 31 March 2003 and bottled in 2021, after ageing in 500-litre sherry (Amontillado Butt) casks in Burgundy, in the Bouze-lès-Beaune ageing cellar of Maison Michel Couvreur.
This exceptional whisky produced in only 800 bottles offers a beautiful amber colour. No peaty or smoky aromas in this whisky, aromas come from the aging in sherry casks, an oxidative wine, and brings an intense rancio nose, walnut, cocoa, spices, roasting, tobacco, and dried flowers notes. It offers extreme delicacy on the palate and a very persistent finish with honeyed and spicy notes.
